The short version
- We keep only what Hey Make needs to work: your email, the name you choose, and the work you save.
- No ads. No tracking across sites. No analytics tools. No selling or renting your data. No AI training on your work.
- The camera, microphone and photo tools run on your device. Pictures, videos and recordings aren't sent to us unless you save them online.
- News emails only if you tick the box. You can stop them any time.
- You can see, download or delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
Hey Make (heymake.app, app.heymake.app and the desktop app) is run by Hey Make App, Lahore, Pakistan. We decide how your personal data is used (the "controller"). Contact: hello@heymake.app.

3. What stays on your device
- Your work is also kept in your browser (or the desktop app) on your device.
- The camera and microphone (Capture, Record voice) and the photo tools (Cut out, Remove background) run on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you save the result online.
- The first time you use Cut out or Remove background, your browser downloads the tool's model file from Google's storage, so Google sees that request (your IP address). Nothing of yours is sent.
4. Emails
- Account emails (sign-in codes and important news about your account or these pages) always come, because Hey Make needs them.
- News and tips only if you tick the box when you sign up, or later in Account settings › Emails. Untick it there, or use the link in any news email, to stop them.
5. Cookies and browser storage
- Your browser keeps your sign-in so you don't have to sign in every time.
- The app sets one small cookie that says you're signed in, which heymake.app reads so it can take you straight to the app. It holds no personal details.
- No cookies for advertising or analytics.
6. Who else handles data (our suppliers)
- Supabase: accounts, database and online file storage. Servers in the USA.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Cloudflare: hosts heymake.app, app.heymake.app and the desktop downloads, protects them from attacks, and forwards email sent to hello@heymake.app.
- Google: the model download in section 3, and Google sign-in if you choose it (when offered).
- YouTube: if a blog post includes a video, it plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube sees your request when the video loads.
They handle your data only to provide their service to us. We don't share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
7. What we never do
- No ads.
- No tracking across sites.
- No selling or renting data.
- No profiling.
- No AI training on your work.
If we ever add AI features, we'll say which provider runs them, and that they're optional, before you use them.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- see and download your work (Account settings › Download all my work) and ask us for a copy of your account data;
- correct your name (Account settings);
- delete your account and everything in it (Account settings › Delete account, or email us);
- say no to news emails.
If you're in the EU, UK or California, you also have the rights your law gives you, including complaining to your data protection authority. We'll answer requests within 30 days.
Legal basis (EU/UK): providing the service you asked for (contract), keeping it safe (legitimate interest), and your consent for news emails.
9. Deleting
When you delete your account, your account, online files and making time are deleted straight away. Copies in our suppliers' backups clear within about 7 days. Records of emails we sent are removed on Resend's own schedule.
10. Children
Hey Make is for everyone and isn't aimed at young children. If you're under the age where you can agree to this in your country, a parent or guardian must agree for you. If you think a child has an account without that, tell us at hello@heymake.app and we'll delete it.
11. Moving data between countries
We're in Pakistan, and your data is stored in the USA by our suppliers. Where the law requires it, we use the safeguards our suppliers provide, such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Security
- Data travels encrypted (HTTPS).
- Each account can only reach its own data, and only we can change the Hey Make library.
- We keep only what we need.
- If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
13. Changes
The date and version are shown at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
